The Chilean Sierra is a long thin fish. They are very popular in South America, Caribbean and South Africa(called Snoek).
It is characterised by its elongated body, short snout, bronze green back, silver-white sides and belly. It has 7 to 10 finlets between the caudal fin and the second dorsal fin and between the caudal fin and the anal fin.
The Sierra is reported to reach a length of three and a half feet and weighs up to 12 pounds.
